Sunday... Blog time ! Past week I left you with the assembly of of cursed city and some Blackstone fortress add-ons so it's only natural to start this one with their painting. Starting with Blackstone.
WIP of the poxwalker, croc' dude and drone towers.
Completed pox walkers, and addition of the plague marines
Finally, everybody is here !
Only thing left are varnish, gloss effects and bases.
Here are all the blackstone additions ready
With BSF completed, let's move on to Cursed city.
Starting with the zombies
I've already stated that on the Facebook but for those of you who are not on that plateforme.
This commission arrived exactly when it should.
See, I am a huge Dark souls fan and I just started my way through the third instalment once again ( about two weeks ago ) while on a pilgrimage of the entire franchise from Daemon souls to bloodborne back to back covering New game and New game plus for Each haha
So when I saw the minis I HAD to go grim, dark, muddy, moody, muted colors to get closer to that aesthetics. And I really like how it looks.
Here is a WIP of said Zombies.
Since I don't have a picture of them completed on their own...
Let's move to a WIP of the Skeletons
These are absolutely FANTASTIC models !
And finally both skeletons and Zombies together and "completed".
I have one more thing to do for them.
Remember when I said I wanted them to be "moody" well, the plan is to have a fairly large red/orange OSL coming from the bottom and side of each model lighting them up.
The entire paint scheme is thought with that in mind hence the very dark vibe.
Now That I got the owner's go ahead, this will be done next week.
Following this The bats were started
That puts and end to the painting for this week.
BUT.
But there is more, with the 3D printing part of things !
Remember that foot I posted past week ?
Well... The foot was joined by quite a lot of other parts during the week !
I got only ONE part missing. The big armor plate of the back. I hoped to have it ready today but it failed to print twice already. Both time in the same area. I suspect a broken file so, I did a bit of work on it and launched a new print attempt, will see how it goes in 14 hours ! Brrrrrrr goes teh printer. And on the side, when I can find a bit of left over space on my print plate... I add a few extras. Here, Bloodleters for a AoS project and two Kriegsters to put on my Knights' bases.
So... That's it for this time ! Hopefully next week, I can show you a fully built Warhound Titan with its knights and Armingers guards and a completed Cursed city project, with MAYYYYBE some Titanicus Knight being painted in adition to that. With that, I wish you a nice Sunday and a good start to your week. Cheers ! Ticos Out.
